Summer is coming to a close. Some are mourning while others are rejoicing, but it is inevitable that kids will be heading back to school soon.
Life’s Work Concierge is providing you with tips to make this year’s back to school season a
School supply shopping. A basic to-do of back-to-school preparation that is often times left until the last minute. Shop early to avoid the long lines and ensure your kids have all necessary supplies.
Prep lunches and snacks. Having lunches and snacks prepped the day before makes for less stressful mornings. An
other upside to preparing lunches beforehand is that you are likely to make healthier choices.
Set out school outfits. Let your kids savor those “5 more minutes of sleep” by having outfits for the day set out and ready to go.
Have a plan for after school. Will your kids ride the bus? Are they playing sports? There are many options to keep kids engaged after the school bell rings. Make sure you have a plan in place, research options and ensure your child is signed up.
Equip your car to handle drop-off. Besides coffee there a few car ride essentials that will help help every parent ace school drop-off
Energy bars - in case of missed breakfast
Spare sweatshirt - for when your 9-year old realizes mom and dad were not lying that it’s cold outside.
Pens / Pencils - to sign last minute permission slips and make changes to homework answers.
Don’t beat yourself up. Those days will come when lunches are forgotten, shirts are worn backwards and classroom cupcakes were never purchased. Ask for help when needed and know that tomorrow will come.
